What market managers see and change#
A market manager’s account is limited to a list of markets. They fully manage the riders in those markets. Courses, learning paths and assistant knowledge are shared by every market, so only admins can change them. The table shows how this works in each area.
| Area | Admin | Market manager |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | Every market | Own markets only |
| Riders list, rider pages, riders export | Every rider | Riders in own markets. Other riders can’t be opened. |
| Rider details, flags, one-tap links, PIN resets | Every rider | Riders in own markets |
| Import CSV | Any market | Rows for own markets only. Riders in other markets are never changed or moved; those rows are skipped and listed. |
| Add a rider | Any market | Own markets only |
| Assign now (bulk assignment) | Any rider | Riders in own markets only |
| Reports, CSV exports, proof of completion | Every market | Own markets only |
| Send due reminders | Every rider | Riders in own markets only |
| Figures on course and path pages | Every market | Own markets only |
| Courses, learning paths, assistant knowledge | Create, edit, translate, publish, archive, delete | View only |
Messages after an action#
Most buttons show a short message next to them when they finish: green when it worked, red when something needs fixing. Read it. It often tells you what happened, for example how many riders were assigned, or which rows of a CSV file were skipped.
- When a form is rejected, what you typed stays in the form so you can fix it. The form is only cleared after it worked.
- Actions that can’t be undone ask you to confirm first, for example Reset PIN now, Remove for good, Send reminders and Delete for good.
AI features#
Four features use AI (the Claude API):
- building a course from a PDF, SCORM package or text,
- translating a course,
- reading PDFs you add to the assistant’s knowledge,
- the rider assistant.
If the server has no AI key, these features are switched off and the pages say why: Generate course is disabled with “AI generation is off”, and the translate buttons explain that AI translation is off. Everything else works without AI, including writing courses by hand and adding a language manually. Ask your IT team to set the key.
Course building and translation run in the background. You can leave the page; it refreshes itself every few seconds while the work is running. A job still running 15 minutes after it started (for example because the server restarted) shows as failed with “It stopped before finishing, most likely because the server restarted. Try again.”
