How-to guides
Onboard a new batch of riders from CSV
Import new riders from a spreadsheet so they get onboarding training automatically, then get them signed in.
On this page
1. Check the onboarding path#
New riders get onboarding training automatically only if a path is ready for them.
Go to Learning paths and open your onboarding path.
Market managers can check the path but only an admin can change it.
Check Who gets it is Riders in onboarding status.
Check the market, vehicle and nationality filters include the new riders.
Check every course in the list is published (no “Not published” warning).
Check Active is ticked. If you changed anything, select Save path.
Paths set to Auto-assign to every matching rider are also given to new riders who match them.
2. Prepare the file#
One row per rider. The first row holds the column names.
- Required:
rider_id,name,market(a code such as KW, or a market name such as Kuwait). status:onboarding(lower case). This is what triggers the onboarding path.language:en,ar,urorku. Riders see their courses in this language when it’s translated.phonewith country code, if you want to send WhatsApp links.vehicle_type,nationalityandcity, if your learning paths or bulk assignments use them.pin(4 to 8 digits) if riders will sign in with a PIN. Leave it out if you’ll send one-tap links.

3. Import the file#
Go to RidersthenImport CSV.
Choose the file and select Import riders.
Read the message.
For example: “Imported 3 new and updated 0 riders. 3 new training assignments.” If rows were skipped, the message lists the first reasons with row numbers.
Fix skipped rows in the file and import it again.
Importing again is safe: existing riders are updated, not duplicated, and don’t get the path twice.
4. Check the result#
In Riders, set Status to onboarding and search for one of the new riders.
Open the rider.
In Assigned training, the onboarding path shows with Why “onboarding” and a due date.
No path? Fix the path (step 1) and select Save path. Matching riders are enrolled at that moment.
5. Get riders signed in#
Choose one way:
- Rider ID and PIN: send each rider their rider ID, their PIN and the sign-in address (ending in
/login) through your usual welcome message. - One-tap link: on each rider’s page, Send course linkthenCreate link, then Send on WhatsApp.
- QR code at an onboarding session: create the link on the rider’s page and let the rider scan the QR code on your screen.
There is no bulk send
6. Follow up#
- Watch the batch in Dashboard (filter on the market) and in the learning path’s figures.
- Export course records to see who hasn’t started.
- When onboarding is over, import the riders again with
statusset toactive. They keep the training they already have.
